There are 3 basic points to consider which are as follows:
Educational Qualifications: completion of a degree or at least two years of state-recognized training.
Language Skill: German language skills at A1 level or English Skills at B2 level.
Financial Means: Sufficient funds to cover your living expenses during your stay, currently 12,324 Euros in a blocked account at 2024 or a declaration of commitment.
The scoring system used to check your eligibility requires that you earn at least six (6) points. The scoring system are:
Partial Recognition of a Foreign Educational Qualification – 4 Points
Qualification in a shortage Occupation – 1 point
Professional Experience: 2 points for two (2) years relevant experience, and three (3) points for at least 3 years in the last seven (7) years.
Language skills: 1 point for German A2, 2 point for B1, and 3 points for B2 or higher. An additional point for English at C1 or native level.
Age: 2 points if you are under 35 years, 1 point if you are above 35 years.
Relation to Germany: 1 point if you have resided legally in Germany for at least six (6) months in the last five (5) years.
Joint Application: 1 point for one of the partner who meet the other requirements.
