Technology has made so many hidden truths about the African continent public to the world, from the feeding of the world’s population to the provision of raw materials and in addition to providing leading technical workable solutions in the nearest future.
It is no secret that the world looks towards Africa for help and the youths are ready to make impacts.
In my previous post, the Genius in Every Child, it is clearly stated that the school system needs to do better to mentor each child, rather than force them or compare grades in an obsolete system. The entrepreneurial support is highly recommended and is the best way to mentor young minds to achieve great things in the process of creating solutions in the value chain.
The Chairman of Alibaba Group, Jack Ma, joined the league of entrepreneurial support, needed to pitch and boost ideas that are worth investing on for the greater good of mankind. This will be done through “The Africa Netpreneur Prize Initiative” an entrepreneur program in the African continent lead by Jack Ma Foundation.
The major aim of Netprenuer Prize initiative is to bring African entrepreneurs into the limelight through their stories to impact the Continent and beyond.
Ten (10) finalists will compete for a share of US$1 Million by pitching their stories to Jack and other Judges. Entrepreneurs from all the fifty-four (54) Africa countries regardless of their age, gender, and sectors are eligible to apply to this program.
Applications are open from the 27th March 2019 to 30th June 2019. The Grand finale will be announced in November 2019.
